  73. NOTES TO SHAREWARE AUTHORS AND PUBLISHERS

  75. We sincerely thank the authors and publishers who make it easy
  76. and simple for us to include their programs in this CD-ROM
  77. collections.  While we cannot guarantee a registration rate
  78. increase for you, but your work will be evaluated by more
  79. potential customers.  The more people try out your programs,
  80. the higher the chance of getting more registrations.
  81. We will do our best to present your work in a favorable manner.  
  82. We try to make it easy for the computer user to test-run 
  83. your program.

  85. Some authors and publishers impose conditions and terms that
  86. make the inclusion of their programs in this CD-ROM difficult.
  87. Some demand written permission while others forbid putting
  88. their programs on CD-ROM totally.  Some of these programs can be
  89. identified quickly if they follow the ASP conventions of
  90. put VENDOR or LICENSE files in their program.  Then we can
  91. identify and remove them pretty easily.  Some programs do
  92. not follow the ASP convention and simply hide their policy
  93. in their documemtation files.  Then it is difficult for us

  99. If you want the shareware concept to work, you must make it easy
  100. for shareware vendors to publish and distribute your work.

  102. make your program as good as possible and offer some premium
  103. to motivate people to register your programs.  You should also    
  104. price your registration fee carefully and do not overprice
  105. your program.  There are many reasonably good commercial programs
  106. priced under $20 and even $10.  So when you price yours, make 
  107. sure its on par to similarly priced commercial software.
